Closing The Productivity Gap In Electric Vehicle Manufacturing: Challenges And Solutions.

This systematic review examines challenges and solutions in electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, analyzing 86 peer-reviewed articles (2015–2023) using PRISMA guidelines. Key findings include the benefits of technological advancements like AI, automation, and digital twin technologies in improving efficiency, though adoption is limited by costs and infrastructure issues. Workforce challenges, such as skill gaps and labor shortages, hinder progress, especially in emerging economies. Supply chain disruptions, driven by raw material dependency and geopolitical risks, persist despite the potential of predictive analytics. Sustainability practices, including circular economy strategies, show promise in reducing environmental impact but face scalability issues. Lean manufacturing effectively boosts productivity and reduces waste, but success relies on organizational commitment and workforce adaptability.
